Common Questions
Things people usually ask first
Do I need a finance background to join?
No prior background is assumed. Our programmes begin at the very beginning of each topic and build from there. Learners who have had no formal exposure to finance are often the most engaged — there is less to unlearn.
How are the sessions delivered?
Sessions are held online via video call, scheduled at times that suit working adults. Course materials — including printed workbooks where applicable — are mailed to your address. Everything is designed for self-directed study between sessions.
What is the time commitment each week?
The Cash Flow programme asks for around 2 hours per week. Tax Literacy is approximately 3 hours weekly. The Shariah Investing course is the most in-depth at about 4 hours per week. All of this is designed to fit around working and family schedules.
Can I pay for the programme in stages?
We understand that programme fees represent a meaningful decision. Please write to us directly to discuss what works for your circumstances — we handle payment arrangements individually and prefer an honest conversation to a rigid policy.
Is the content specific to Malaysia?
Yes, entirely. Malaysian tax law, EPF contribution structures, the Securities Commission's Shariah Advisory Council, ringgit-denominated instruments — the examples, the case studies, and the frameworks used are all drawn from the Malaysian context.
What if I have questions between sessions?
Each learner has access to a dedicated message channel with their assigned facilitator throughout the programme duration. Questions are typically answered within one working day. We do not want anyone to feel stuck between sessions.
